Goodwin’s Danny’s Dream Club was packed out by the great and the good this week for the Grand Opening of the building by Lord Mayor Danny Brown.

Cllr Brown spoke passionately of the need for Danny’s Dream Club, saying it would play a fundamental role in Hull’s domiciliary care provision for disabled adults. The Club has been named in commemoration of the life of the late Daniel Revill. Daniel's family were joined by the Trustees of the Goodwin Development Trust, the Friends of Danny’s Dream and by the service users themselves to celebrate this mutual milestone.

The opening of the Danny’s Dream Club is the culmination of many years of hard work on the part of the Friends of Danny’s Dream and their families, and is a leap towards the realisation of the dream of Daniel Revill – ‘that anybody with complex disabilities could live their life to the full in a safe and inclusive environment’.

What is Danny’s Dream?

Danny’s Dream offers a combination of home, leisure, health and domiciliary care primarily to service users with learning disabilities and complex health and social care needs.

We offer an approach that focuses on the needs of the individual person, rather than one that is only service-centred.We see the person first and not their disability, we use everyday language rather than jargon, we proactively search for ‘can do’ options and give strength to the voice of our service users.
